Kara Davis, M.Ed.
Kara Davis has multiple years of experience helping communities grow and improve by becoming data-informed through community indicators research and program evaluation. She is currently a Ph.D. student in the Arnold School of Public Health at the University of South Carolina. She holds a Masters in Education from Clemson University and a Bachelor's in Science from Northwest Missouri State University.
She is the past director of the Metropolitan Studies Institute (MSI) at the University of South Carolina Upstate in Spartanburg SC that oversaw several county's community indicator projects and multiple agencies grant & program evaluations. In her role with MSI, she completed racial equity studies, community health needs assessments, affordability studies, community indicator reports, grant evaluations, and survey development.
Kara's Ph.D research focus is on rural communities, physical activity, and behavioral economics.
